La Honorable Ilona M. Holmes (retirada) volverá a presidir el juicio simulado del Programa de Asociados de Verano programado para el 2 de agosto

Boca Ratón, Florida, EE.UU. – Kanner & Pintaluga is proud to announce that the Hon. Ilona M. Holmes, retired judge from the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court, has agreed to return and preside over Kanner & Pintaluga’s 2023 Summer Associate Mock Trial, set for August 2, in the Firm’s state-of-the-art courtroom.

“It is an honor to participate in this worthwhile event,” said Judge Holmes. “The participants, in my opinion, are receiving world-class training that they wouldn’t be exposed to in their schools. Thank you for helping to prepare the next generation of attorneys.”

Judge Holmes received her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University and completed her J.D. at Texas Southern University. During her illustrious legal career spanning 36 years, she served as the Assistant State Attorney in Dade County (now Miami-Dade) under Janet Reno, the former Dade County State Attorney and U.S. Attorney General. In 1991, she became the Assistant U.S. Attorney in Fort Lauderdale and was appointed by former Governor Lawton Chiles to the circuit court in 1998, replacing Judge Carole Taylor. Judge Holmes held that position, unopposed, until her retirement in January 2019.
