At Kanner & Pintaluga, we take our legal intern and summer associate programs very seriously. We understand how overwhelming it can be for future lawyers to balance the requirements of law school and the need for real life experience in the legal field. For this reason, we have carefully crafted our programs to suit the needs of our legal interns and summer associates who may wish to one day join our firm as practicing attorneys.
Education
We consider our programs to be an extension of law school. All legal interns and summer associates will be working closely with the attorneys, receiving detailed instructions regarding their assignments as well as constructive feedback about their performance. Our goal is to not only help our interns and summer associates obtain that real life work experience, but also to help them sharpen their skills as soon to be attorneys.
Mentorship
At Kanner & Pintaluga, our attorneys have an open-door policy and are always willing to take the time to provide professional guidance and answer any questions. We encourage our interns and summer associates to shadow our attorneys and regularly attend hearings, depositions, mediations and trials. Our interns and summer associates will also have the opportunity to actually argue the issues on which they work, presenting their case to the attorneys in their department and receiving feedback along the way designed to help improve their advocacy skills. At the end of the program, all interns and summer associates will participate in an exit interview to discuss their progress and receive feedback concerning their strengths and those things which may require some improvement.
Mock Trial
One of the things that sets our program apart from other firms is our Mock Trial. At the end of the Summer Associate Program, all interns and summer associates working from our Boca Raton office will have the opportunity to participate as either an advocate, witness or juror in a mock trial in our state-of-the-art courtroom. This mock trial will be presided over by a current or former judge in the community – a judge our interns and summer associates may appear before during their legal careers.

The goal of our program is to identify and cultivate potential future Kanner & Pintaluga attorneys. We are looking for motivated, hard-working individuals who have the desire to learn and improve in an environment that stresses collaboration, participation and contribution.
