Leon O. Hunter is an attorney in the Firm’s Personal Injury Practice.
Leon is known for his passionate dedication to courtroom advocacy. He is a strategic, inventive, and highly effective trial attorney with a track record of favorable verdicts in civil cases throughout the State of Florida. His work consistently achieves positive outcomes for his clients, often despite challenging facts and complex rulings. Leon’s dedication to trial advocacy has not only benefited his clients but also garnered recognition from his peers, including honors as a “Top 40 Under 40” Civil Trial Lawyer and a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” since 2022.
Leon graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida, where he founded and served as President of the UCF Rotaract Club, a student chapter of Rotary International. He earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where he was a standout competitor on the school’s nationally top-ranked Trial Team and an active member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. Through these experiences, Leon refined his advocacy skills and earned numerous accolades, including an invitation to the National Order of Barristers and the highly selective “Top Gun” Mock Trial Competition.
Prior to joining Kanner & Pintaluga as a civil trial attorney, Leon represented victims of Domestic Violence as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Beyond his practice, Leon remains dedicated to serving his community. He volunteers at grade schools and colleges, sharing his insights and experiences with students and young professionals.
