James McLane is a Senior Attorney in Kanner & Pintaluga’s Personal Injury Litigation Practice Group.
James possesses extensive trial experience, including conducting more than 25 civil trials, demonstrating a strong ability to achieve favorable outcomes in complex matters.
Prior to joining Kanner & Pintaluga, James has extensive Personal Injury experience in California, Milwaukee, and Illinois.
James received a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He completed his J.D. at California Western School of Law.
James has achieved several significant milestones in his legal career. These accomplishments underscore James skill, dedication, and commitment to clients.
- Local counsel for the California Innocence Project for a Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus for The State of Illinois v. Marilyn Mulero who was later declared innocent after spending 21 years in prison for a murder she didn’t commit.
- Appellate counsel for John Tsiamas in The State of Illinois v. John Tsiamas wherein I successfully appealed the court’s ruling and was able to effectuate a change to Illinois discovery rules.
- Lance Jones v. Milton Howery, a civil lawsuit involving assault and battery claims brought against him by a Papa John’s delivery guy. After vacating a $250,000 default judgment and extensive discovery the matter was settled for less than $10,000.
