Personal Injury Attorney
Amir S. Bahreini, Esq. is a trial attorney in the Firm’s Personal Injury Group.
He represents plaintiffs in motor vehicle, trucking, motorcycle, premises liability, negligent security, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death matters in state and federal courts throughout Florida.
As sole first-chair counsel, he obtained a $1,989,388.42 jury verdict in a pedestrian motor vehicle case in the Tenth Judicial Circuit, Highlands County. Amir has personally handled every phase of a civil jury trial, including jury selection, opening statement, direct and cross-examination of lay and expert witnesses, the charge conference and jury instructions, and closing argument.
Before joining Kanner & Pintaluga, Amir represented insureds in general liability, trucking, and premises liability litigation. He brings that perspective to the plaintiff’s side of the docket: how carriers evaluate and reserve a file, how defense counsel are assigned, budgeted, and directed, what a claims professional requires before settlement authority moves, and where a defense workup is thin.
Amir clerked with the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division, where his work included litigation support and electronic discovery in large-document federal matters. He holds a Relativity e-discovery certification and applies it to electronically stored information, surveillance and body-camera video, telematics and event-data-recorder output, and corporate records in trucking and premises cases. He is admitted to The Florida Bar and to the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
Amir received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his J.D. from Cooley Law School, where his trial and appellate advocacy work was recognized with Certificates of Merit (Book Awards) in Trial Skills, Pre-Trial Skills, Advocacy, and Contracts; a Leadership Achievement Award; service as a Moot Court Board Leader in two national competitions and the Florida Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition; and membership on the Mock Trial Board.
He maintains an active continuing legal education practice in Florida tort law, evidence, and trial advocacy, with particular attention to the 2023 tort reform amendments and their application to proof of damages at trial.
