Palm Beach, FL – The Firm’s Personal Injury Litigation Practice recently reached a $600,000 settlement for injuries sustained in a rear-end crash and resulted in our clients’ car being pushed onto active train tracks.

In March 2017, our clients were stopped at a light while on their way to work when the defendant driver failed to stop and caused a rear-end collision that pushed our clients’ vehicle onto the train tracks. Fortunately, our clients were able to narrowly escape their vehicle when an incoming train rammed it moments later. Both clients sustained injuries to their neck and back as a result of the initial collision.

Due to the defendant driver and his employer’s negligence, Kanner & Pintaluga’s personal injury team lead by Howard Kanner, filed suit. Led by trial attorney Serghei Ianachi, our litigation team discovered that defendant driver may have been suffering from a serious medical condition that severely affected his ability to operate a vehicle and that his employer may have known about it prior to the crash involving our clients. After more than five years of litigation and with the case approaching the doorstep of trial, the defendant accepted our settlement demand of $600,000.
