{"id":9232,"date":"2021-07-15T13:37:13","date_gmt":"2021-07-15T13:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kpattorney.com\/?p=9232"},"modified":"2025-02-24T11:33:33","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T11:33:33","slug":"972k-jury-award-upheld-by-fla-4th-dca-finally-resolved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kpattorney.com\/es\/verdicts-settlements\/972k-jury-award-upheld-by-fla-4th-dca-finally-resolved\/","title":{"rendered":"Veredictos y acuerdos: Laudo del jurado $972K, confirmado por el 4\u00ba DCA de Florida, finalmente resuelto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kpattorney.com\/es\/offices\/florida\/boca-raton\/\">Boca Rat\u00f3n, Florida, EE.UU.<\/a> - Por fin se ha resuelto una sentencia de casi $1 millones por lesiones graves sufridas por nuestro cliente hace casi una d\u00e9cada.<\/p>\n<p>Durante un viaje de visita al hospital, nuestro cliente resbal\u00f3 y cay\u00f3 sobre una sustancia que se hab\u00eda acumulado cerca de la salida de la tienda de regalos del hospital y que no se hab\u00eda limpiado a tiempo.  Las lesiones resultantes obligaron a nuestro cliente a someterse a m\u00faltiples operaciones de pr\u00f3tesis de rodilla y a una operaci\u00f3n del tend\u00f3n de Aquiles.  Debido a que el hospital no resolvi\u00f3 el asunto, el equipo de juicios por lesiones personales de Kanner &amp; Pintaluga, dirigido por <a href=\"https:\/\/kpattorney.com\/es\/firm\/attorneys\/howard-kanner\/\">Howard Kanner<\/a>, inici\u00f3 una demanda contra el Hospital en junio de 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Seis a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de la presentaci\u00f3n de la demanda inicial, y tras numerosas conversaciones con el Hospital para llegar a un acuerdo, \u00e9ste s\u00f3lo ofreci\u00f3 $7.500. Adem\u00e1s del veredicto, el Tribunal concedi\u00f3 a nuestro cliente el derecho a recuperar los honorarios de los abogados, que ascendieron a m\u00e1s de $250.000.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de a\u00f1os de litigio, el Hospital se neg\u00f3 a aceptar la sentencia del Tribunal y apel\u00f3 el caso ante el Tribunal de Apelaci\u00f3n del Cuarto Distrito de Florida.
