Olinda Deochand, is an associate attorney who specializes in representing property owners in first party insurance disputes including hurricane, fire, water, theft, mold, etc. Ms. Deochand has legal experience in various areas of law including property, personal injury, and personal injury protection (PIP).
Prior to joining Kanner & Pintaluga, Ms. Deochand defended insurance companies in first party insurance disputes. Ms. Deochand’s experience working for insurance companies gives her invaluable knowledge when representing property owners against insurance companies.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Deochand received her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Miami where she majored in Philosophy and minored in Psychology and English Literature. After college, she continued her formal education by attending St. Thomas University School of Law. While attending St. Thomas School of Law, Ms. Deochand interned for Magistrate Tim Bailey and Magistrate Nicolas Lopane of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida. After her time in the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida, she gained invaluable experience while law clerking for a prestigious law firm in Hollywood, Florida. She was also an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and of the Female Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. Deochand graduated from St. Thomas University School of Law in May of 2017.
