Karl Labertew is a Senior Attorney in the Firm’s Personal Injury Practice.
Karl specializes in representing personal injury victims, injured through no fault of their own, in litigation matters all over the State of Florida in state and federal courts. His experience includes wrongful death claims, trucking accidents, motor vehicle and pedestrian accidents, premises liability, and negligent security claims.
The legal profession is a second career for Karl, who spent a career in the military as a member of the United States Navy. He began his second career working for insurance companies and knows the tactics used against injured victims. He has brought those years of experience to the side of those most needing the help, defending the victims’ right to seek compensation from those who caused them harm.
Prior to Kanner & Pintaluga, Karl represented plaintiffs at a large personal injury firm in Central Florida where he recovered $22 million for his clients over the past five years.
In 2021, Karl became a Board-Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the Florida Bar, a title less than 5% of all Florida attorneys can claim, by demonstrating his skill in the courtroom as well as his professionalism and ethics, as viewed by his peers and the judiciary.
Karl graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in Marine Affairs. He completed his J.D. at Loyola University New Orleans. Karl is currently enrolled at Baylor University School of Law, as a candidate for an L.L.M degree in Litigation Management, with an expected completion date of February 2022.
