After earning his law degree, Jeff practiced a number of years as an insurance defense attorney and represented insurance carriers in third party general liability matters and first party property damage disputes at both the trial and appellate levels.  His first party property practice included defending multiple insurance carriers in tropical storm and hurricane claims, wind and hail claims, and other types perils causing damage to homes.

Jeff received his B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish, summa cum laude, from Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern University). He completed his J.D. at Stetson University, graduating cum laude.
