Hurricanes form over warm ocean waters and turn into large swirling storms. They can produce winds of 74 miles per hour or higher. When a hurricane forms, their winds can damage buildings and trees. Heavy rain also occurs during a hurricane which can cause flooding.

Hal Weitzenfeld is a partner at the Law Offices of Kanner & Pintaluga. Hal spent (9) nine years representing insurance companies in complex insurance defense litigation involving disputed Commerical and Residential Water Damage, Fire Damage, Theft, Windstorm Damage and Sinkhole Damage claims. His practice also included defending claims for personal injury and professional malpractice. Hal obtained his undergraduate degree with honors from The University of Florida with where he studied Decision and Information Sciences. Hal also received his Juris Doctor from The University of Florida.

Max Messinger, Esq.

Max Messinger is a partner of Kanner & Pintaluga. Max’s primary practice emphasizes its focus on representing property owners in insurance disputes and is responsible for the firm’s property insurance department. Prior to joining Kanner & Pintaluga, he was the partner of the property division for the Broward office of one of the largest insurance defense firms in Florida. For nearly the last decade, Max has represented numerous insurance companies in property disputes as to insurance coverage. During this time, Max oversaw thousands of lawsuits on behalf of the insurance companies as well as numerous trials. This included residential and commercial insurance disputes.
Max graduated from Stetson University College of Law where he was on the Honor Roll. Prior to law school, he attended The Florida State University where he was on the Dean’s List and a member of the National Honor’s Society. During this time he interned for Senator Walter “Skip” Campbell during the legislation session. This internship helped foster his appreciation for helping others which resulted in him being heavily involved in the Jacob’s Shoes Foundation. Max is licensed to practice in all state and Federal Courts in Florida. In 2017, Max was named to the Super lawyer’s Rising Stars List. This distinction is only made for up to 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Florida.
